The Maytrix is an annual event that celebrates the creative journeys of young people, part-time tutors, and volunteers involved in ARTS programmes in Dublin youth groups.
The event includes exhibitions, performances and workshops for and by young people.
The ethos of the day is celebratory and non-competitive.
Participation in the Maytrix gives groups a focus and everybody gets an opportunity to display their skills and achievements.
Leaders and teachers learn more about the young people they work with and often see a new side revealed through participation in the day's activities.
Young people for their part get to meet other young people and share a common interest in the arts.
