Project Funding

CDYSB is administering agency for a number of streams of government funding. The funding is designated on a project by project basis and normally allocated on the basis of twelve month contracts that are renewable, subject to availability of funding and other conditions.

To be approved for funding, projects are subjected to an application process that is approved by the relevant government department. The funding streams currently administered by CDYSB are:

Department of Education and Science - Youth Affairs

Special Projects for Youth

Young Peoples Facilities & Services Fund (1)

Local Drugs Task Force (Mainstreamed)

Local Drugs Task Force (Interim)

Department of Community, Gaelteacht & Rural Affairs
Young Peoples Facilities & Services Fund (2)

The payments of grants to projects are subject to certain conditions:

The Project must:

  • Incorporate as a company
  • Operate the company within the regulations set out under relevant legislation
  • Sign a contract with CDYSB
  • Provide regular progress reports relating to the work of the project
  • Provide quarterly financial reports
  • Complete the CDYSB report pack
  • Complete the application form for the renewal of funding
  • Submit a current tax clearance certificate or CHY status
  • Provide annual audited reports.
