The 'sounds like music' programme takes place over a six month period. It is co-ordinated by the CDYSB, Dublin City Council's Arts office and City Arts as part of our joint arts strategy.
During 2006, Musicians worked in partnership with six youth projects to devise an original piece of music. The pieces of music were then recorded and the young people had the opportunity to make their own music DVD.
A celebration event took place in the October mid-term break in the O'Reilly Theatre, Belvedere College. The young people came together for a day of music workshops and performances by themselves and 'special guests'. Many of the young participants performed their work 'live' to the backdrop of their own DVDs.
