Workers are invited to participate in these groups subject to the consent of their line managers.
The purpose of a peer support group is to provide a forum where workers can discuss issues arising in their work with a view to learning from and providing support to each other.
Accurate information on real training needs that can be met by external training courses will also be provided by the process.
The groups are facilitated by resource persons whose role is to ensure that the participants adhere to the purposes of the group.
