Publication of A Study of Voluntary Youth Clubs and Groups in the City of Dublin.

3 July 2012
On the 18th of November 2016, the Director of CDYSB Mary Mooney and the Chief Executive of the City of Dublin Education and Training Board Carol Hanney, officially launched the report: A Study of Voluntary Youth Clubs and Groups in the City of Dublin. This report was commissioned by CDYSB to conduct and document research into main policy, regulatory and practice issues influencing and impacting the city’s voluntary youth work provision.

The report’s findings provide not only a valuable insight into the challenges facing voluntary youth work in the city, but highlights how voluntary youth clubs/groups play a very important part in the lives of marginalised young people and can facilitate integration into communities and society. CDYSB looks forward to considering the report's findings and key recommendations in detail and will seek to prioritise them into meaningful actions as part of our future policy development and operational plans.

The report can be downloaded from the General Publications section of our Library.
