Welcome to Our Services
Your first point of contact with CDYSB is your Liaison Officer who will tell you how to register and how to avail of services and grants.

CDYSB provides support services to communities so they can develop youth work programmes, projects and services in response to local community needs and the changing needs of young people in Dublin city.
Listed below is an outline of our services to projects, groups, clubs, the Arts Programme and programme support.
Services to Projects
Mentoring and training programme
CDYSB provides training and mentoring for management committees.
In-Service training for youth work staff
CDYSB provides a full range of in-service training workshops and courses for youth workers and project leaders.
Development support programmes
CDYSB offers a developmental support programme (DSP) to management committees to support their work and staff.
Youth worker support services
This service is offered to a youth worker who has been newly employed or is taking up a new area of responsibility, and who requires specific training or support around a particular competence.
Personnel management advice
We provide information, advice and support on aspects of employment legislation; personnel issues and preparing a safety statement.
Payroll service and technical support
We either provide or provide access to: a payroll service , technical support with computerisation, guidelines and training for Treasurers.
Services to Groups and Clubs
Grant schemes
CDYSB offers financial assistance through a range of grant schemes to voluntary youth workers and leaders.
Part-time tutors/teachers
A registered youth group or club may apply to CDYSB for a part-time tutor/teacher.
Classes run over a six to ten week cycle.
Training for volunteers
CDYSB provides training for volunteers in a club and part-time courses for individuals.
Volunteer achievement awards
CDYSB runs an award ceremony annually to recognise the achievements of youth work volunteers in the city.
Educational bursary
CDYSB through a bursary scheme supports volunteers who wish to pursue professional qualifications in youth work.
How to register
Youth groups and clubs working in Dublin with young people may be eligible to register. Sports groups are not eligible.
The Arts Programmme:
CDYSB Arts Programme aims to support young people's access to qualilty arts experiences in youth projects and clubs. Our programme includes:
Working with our strategic partners Dublin City Council's Arts Office and City Arts to develop quality arts provision in youth projects.
Engaging with part-time artists on the CDYSB resource panel by co-ordinating skills exchange workshops, the 'Matrix' event as well as individual youth Arts programmes.
Responding to requests from projects and clubs about training or advice they may require in how to develop young people's talents and abilities through the arts.
Delivering the Arts module on the DkIT honours degree course in youth work.

Programme support services are available to both projects and clubs.
